The Conway Muse

About Our Spaces

Though the muse is one building, two companies reside within.  The heart of the Muse is the Parlor, the front area where the restaurant and bar resides.  Click on the spaces to find out out more detailed  information about the spaces.

Parlor (the front)

48 guests with tables and chairs.

The Parlor is the featured front room stage and has seating for 48 (with additional standing room for sell out shows). The Parlor stage is cozy ~18’6″x6’6″, has a 16 channel sound board and is lit by 8 LED cans. There is a full upright Phillips piano (tuned) on far stage right. Most shows occur on the Parlor Stage.

Black Box (the back)

50 guests with tables and chairs.

The Black Box is a non-traditional “Black Box” theater space most often used as an art gallery, green room, space for private parties, and is occasionally used for small performances and comedy shows. The Evolution Room has small moveable 8’x12’ stage and a capacity of 90 (chairs only) or 50 with tables and chairs. The evolution room has a 16 channel sound system and small light system.

Bard Loft (the upstairs)

Occupancy: 170 (Chairs only) or 79 (tables & chairs).

The Bard Loft is the largest space and is located on the second floor in the old hay loft (not currently wheelchair accessible). The Bard Room has a 20’x12’ stage (with small wings). The Bard room is lit by eleven 300 watt stage lights and 28 LED/incandescent wash and effects lights. The sound system has 16 channels.

The Sanctuary

Nestled in our garden, the sanctuary is a small chapel-like space that seats around 20.  A cozy space for an intimate wedding or just a gathering place for groomsmen before a wedding.

The Gardens

The gardens at the Muse are as unique as the shows inside.

Beer Garden & Paddle Wheel smoking lounge.  The beer gardens at the entry are a popular hangout that features a flat bottom paddle wheel boat with a 1918 one lung gas engine, large flywheel, with a model A rear end that drives two wagon wheel paddles.  One day you may see it plying the waters of the Skagit, but until then, it will be serving a new life as our smoking lounge.

Nearby, the Starlight Stage and beer garden are popular for summertime outdoor shows, and occasional wedding tents.

Our outside decks provide shade and a view of the orchard and eclectic garden art.

The Startlight Stage (outside)

Occupancy: 300+

The Starlight Stage is located in the outdoor beer garden and has capacity to seat 300+ people. Of course we are located in the Pacific Northwest and putting up a show outside depends on the weather – Starlight Stage shows only occur during the summer. The Starlight Stage is 35’x8’ with a 6’ x 20” back riser. The house sound system with 16 channels can be moved to cover the Starlight Stage.
